I've just purchased a windows phone, however, all of my contacts are in the windows contacts store on my PC from when I had the iPhone (itunes would sync to that locally).
I would like to upload all of my windows contacts to the live contact store in the cloud (or even gmail contacts), but can't seem to find an easy way of doing so.

How can I set the picture for a contact on the web at Outlook.com? I have Windows 8 and and using the People app I can set a picture on the desktop but that doesn't show up on the web. On the web there doesn't seem to be an option to set a picture at all. Contacts imported from Facebook are showing a picture but there doesn't seem to be a way just for a Outlook contact.

In the Task view within Windows Live Calendar, this is how my to-do items appear:

What is not user friendly about the Sat DD/10
is that it could be any Saturday in the month of October. Why the "DD"?
Can I do something about this?

Nowadays, besides the fact that I'm getting quite some spam e-mail, I get spam invites on my Windows Live network. Now I haven't seen these people ever before, I'm 100% sure it are some spam people trying to attract men by using those sexy pictures...
Which is annoying as I don't expect nor want this. Is there any way to stop this? I'm already blocking all incoming invites from this kind of persons.

The Outlook/Live/Hotmail keyboard for Create new message is Ctrl+N... this always opens a new instance of my browser. This is not what I want and means I can't avoid the need to keep on reaching for the mouse.
How can I configure things so that I have a shortcut that lets me Create a new message in Outlook/Live/Hotmail?

Let's say you have an Excel file in SkyDrive. Right now the only way I can figure out how to open it directly in the full Excel application is to open in on the web first and then click the 'Open in Excel' button.

Right clicking on the button and copying the link doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Any Windows Live Mesh gurus that could tell me what is not working with my setup? I have a netbook and a desktop - both with FB 4.5 (Basically Eclipse as far as I can tell) and thought it would be easier to use a service like Live Mesh or Dropbox to sync the two computers (I'll never be on both at once.. the idea is to use the netbook when I'm commuting) It seems to sync alright, but then on the next time I open, nothing is working on either system anymore.
*This may belong over in regular stackoverflow, but I couldn't decide so I guessed.

Microsoft offers a function to change the Live ID (the email that registers the Live ID) to another. I wonder if I changed the Live ID, will my friends' that added me to MSN will update their Friend's List (with my new email)?
Also, I linked my Live ID to XBOX Live. Will my XBOX Live Gold Membership be affected?

I have a Windows Live account and use the Mesh drive to synchronize some various files and photos from work and home.
I recently setup a Live groups account, which includes 5GB of storage for the group.
Is there a way to configure Live Mesh to synchronize files in the groups skydrive account, so that I could have files in the group synchronized directly to my computer?

I just signed up for a new Outlook.com account and synced my existing Gmail account with my Windows Live account. However, when I view my Gmail messages within Outlook.com the only messages that show up are from 2009 and prior.
How do I get all my messages to show up?

Windows Live Skydrive has a Mac client that downloads files from the SkyDrive to my computer. However, this is only the files I've uploaded, not the ones shared with me.
So I end up having to download them from the web client and then copy them to the desktop client in order to get them, and of course they aren't syncing at that point.
Is there a way to make the shared files sync, like in Dropbox?

I've had my .NET Passport -> Windows Live ID for a very long time. Since that time, I've changed my primary email address and would really like to not have to use my email from highschool to still get access to everything in the Microsoft world. My MSDN account is tied to it, as well as SkyDrive and Xbox Live. Can I change my login email to use a different one, without having to start a new account? If so, what are the steps I need to take and places I need to go to get that changed globally for all of the Microsoft webapps that I use?

Our work email accounts were just transferred from our in-house server to Outlook. I want to forward some or all emails arriving in that mailbox to another account. I can't seem to find such an option once I log on to the Outlook account. I'm looking for a re-direction from within Outlook rather than having another account log in thru POP and access my emails. Here is the screenshot once I go to options: (you should be able to zoom in to the picture by viewing it in a separate tab/window)
