Teamviewer remote computer 640x480 screen?

I have a Windows 7 PC with TeamViewer installed on it. This computer is always on and has no screen, keyboard and mouse attached to it, only an internet-cable.

I login from my Mac on TeamViewer, create a connection to my Windows 7 PC and the result is an 640x480 screen. The problem is that my Windows 7 PC does not detect any display.

If I check display settings in Win 7 then this happens: enter image description here

I can't select another resolution. How can I choose another resolution?

TeamViewer special key on local and remote end not matching

I am using TeamViewer 7.0.11474 to remotely control a Mac Pro from my Macbook Pro. I occasionally find that some key strokes (likely the special keys) I type on local machine gets translated differently onto the remote machine, because within the same software some familiar keyboard shortcut doesn't work as expected. I am worrying perhaps there is something simple I'm missing? Anybody knows any information about this or can suggest things to check?

TeamViewer meetings on a LAN connection

I know that we can use TeamViewer on a LAN connection without internet for remote control. I was wondering whether we can use meetings to connect via LANs without internet as well. I tried doing this but i couldn't find the feature.

Thank you in advance..

TeamViewer: protocol negotiation failed

Protocol negotiation failed. Please try again

After scouring the internet, I have not had any luck in finding what causes this issue.

I have tried so far the following:

  • restart teamviewer
  • enabled windows logon for all users (This popped up in a few posts I have read)
  • Re-installed + updated TeamViewer

Has anyone came across this issue before? What is the cause of this message?

TeamViewer without showing the screen?

I'm wondering if it's possible to connect to a computer through TeamViewer without having the screen show what you're doing.

For example if it's a computer at home or at work which is standing where other people might be, I'd prefer to be able to use it without them seeing what I'm doing :)

What protocol does TeamViewer use?

I was just teaching someone a little about SSH & VNC. I said I'd show him some things with TeamViewer. Then he asked me "Soo.. is this a VNC client?
And I wasn't sure.

What protocol does TeamViewer use? It's obviously similar to VNC & RDP and so on. However, I can't seem to find much information on it.

How can I use Teamviewer anonymously with TOR network?

I would like to be able to use Teamviewer anonymously to avoid revealing my real IP address while I access sensitive data on my remote server. The data being transferred is encrypted.

I have looked into TOR (and AdvOR), but am unable to get TeamViewer to work with either. I have set Teamviewer proxy to 127.0.0.1:9050 (default TOR client port) but using Wireshark I am still able to see my real IP address. Both client and server are running Windows. What am I doing wrong?

Is it because TOR's SOCKS protocol is unable to handle Teamviewer's UDP traffic? If TOR isn't the right way to go about it, please let me know what is.

TeamViewer 8 - Log into locked session

I want to use TV8 between my home & work PCs (both running win7 pro). The problem is that my work pc is configured to lock after 5mins of inactivity and to relog back again you have to press Ctr+Alt+Del and insert your password.

The above feature seems to prevent TV8 from remote control, even if the application is still running inside the locked session with admin rights.

All I get is the message

enter image description here

The screen cannot be captured at the moment. This is probably due to fast user switching or a disconnected/minimized Remote Desktop session.

Is there a workaround on this?
