Is it possible to be notified before a task is due, similar to how you can set notifications for events on Google Calendar?
Source: (StackOverflow)
For regular events I currently enter an event into my Google Calender and set it the recur annually. Sometimes I remember to set a reminder for a few days or a week in advance but I have lost track of a few things like insurance renewals and birthdays.
Is there a better way to track these recurring events (mostly annually) that will either send me an email or SMS a few days in advance? Ideally I would like to be able to view all events for the year without having to search the whole calender.

I'd like to try to switch from iCloud's Reminders to Google Inbox ones.
Can I automatically sync them?
If I can't, can I at least one-way import them?
My devices are a Mac running 10.10 and an Android running 4.4.4.

I cancelled my Google Apps domain, yet I still get the monthly email reminders of recurring monthly events from the calendar that I had set up. When I try to log into Google Apps, I can't, because the domain has been disabled.
How do I stop these emails?

Between my personal projects, one-offs for work and other sites where I'm the defacto web guy, I have a few dozen domain names that I would like to keep track of with several registrars and a few TLDs.
Is there an app that monitors in such a way ?
Ideally I'd just like one email a month with the domains that are expiring and the registrars with which they are associated.

Sometimes I will send a message in Gmail and expect someone to answer. If they don't answer, I will forget to remind them to.
Is there a plugin that would do that? For example, if I don’t receive a reply to my email, remind me to resend that email or ask "what happened".
The more portable the solution, the better. Don't forget we login from multiple places. We also use smartphones.

I love google calendar for sending me time-based reminders. But sometimes I want to receive reminders based on my location rather than the current time.
For example if I want to remember to pick up a book I loaned to my sister I would like to add a item to a map that will alert me to grab the book then next time I am within 100 meters of her address.
any ideas?

Is there a web app that will send me an email or SMS to remind me that US Daylight Savings Time is starting or ending?

If I share a Google calendar with a friend and add events to it, is there some way that I can set reminders for those events in his instance of that calendar?

Gmail is sending all of my calendar reminders to spam. As far as I can tell, I don't have a filter (or anything else) telling it to do this.
How can I make it stop? I keep marking everything that it is putting in there as "Not Spam", but all the new reminders are still getting put there.

I am responsible for a group of people that rotate responsibilities during the week. For example, there are tasks that must be done on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and there are several of us that take turns doing each (signing up to volunteer when we are available as opposed to being assigned).
I'd like to set something up online where we can individually sign up for each "slot" whenever we are available, and anyone can see at a glance who will be handling the tasks for that day (with reminders, etc).
I was thinking about trying to set something up in Google Calendar or Docs, but those aren't specifically designed for this scenario. What is the best way of handling task "signups" in a web app?

I am aware of this question, but the services don't seem to have support for receiving SMS messages to set tasks. Ideally, I should be able text a certain number something with the format "stop by Grandma's at 4pm tomorrow" and expect it to relay the message back to me at the time specified.
Remember the Milk has the Smart Add feature which "intelligently" finds the time in the message, figures out what I mean by "at 4pm tomorrow", and extracts it from the name of the reminder. RTM allows setting reminders by email, but my phone (as well as many others) has trouble correctly sending and receiving emails as SMS messages.
Does anything like this exist? If not, would it be something useful to build and release on my own? Thanks.

In 2008, I DIED. My personal assistant, Sandy, otherwise known at http://iwantsandy.com was retired when the project was gobbled up by Twitter.
For those who haven't had the pleasure
of meeting Sandy... she was a personal
planning assistant who functioned
primarily over email (but also twitter
and web interface). She was helpful
and not annoying.
You could forward emails to her with
simple lines at the top like "remind
me to pick up the kids next tuesday"
or "r call my boss in 23 days" or "r
revisit this email in 1 year #review
, #2011-plans".
She would let you know if she didn't
understand, but most of the time she
did. And she would send you reminders,
with the original email attached so
you can see what you were looking at
when you made the reminder. She'd also
deliver daily agendas if you wanted
them.
She understood most commonly expressed
forms of time, recurring events ("r
take out the trash every tuesday
morning" or "r pay netflix every 90
days") and you could look at her
calendar to make adjustments if you
needed to move something.
I depended on Sandy and I never found a good replacement for her.
RTM handles emails to some degree... though it's far pickier about how you phrase things than sandy was and not nearly as simple. I also dislike how it does reminders and dislike it's web interface.
I've also been playing with Springpad a lot... but it's rather short on planning features.
Has anyone found anything like Sandy out there?

If I set up an all day event and choose "10 minutes" as the remind time, when should I expect to be reminded of the event?
I'm looking for an exact date/time.
Update: I guess they are really sent relative to 12:00 AM... it's just that I'm having a different problem where it's not respecting my time zone settings and instead is using UTC.
