How can I record an RTMP stream (Adobe Flash video and audio) which is currently playing, as-is?
I have a very long video which can't be downloaded by any downloader I tested. So I want to scroll it to the desired position, playback and record only a small part.

I need to be able to record the sound from a single application (in this case minecraft) without the recording containing any other sounds from other applications.
I cannot just mute the applications as I need to be able to hear them whilst recording.
Is there any way of me doing this?
I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 if it matters.
The reason I'm asking this is that Windows has the capability of controlling application sound separately, so I figure it must be possible to record them in the same way.

I have a podcast and we use Skype and Audio Hijack to record all of us.
How would I go about piping audio so the other people on the Skype conference call can hear it real time? I would like a software solution if possible. I realize they are several hardware solutions available.

The traditional way to capture audio is to pick a "Stereo Mix" or "What U Hear" recording device and record in a program like Sound Recorder or Audacity. However that relies on your sound card exposing that feature.
In Vista they introduced an API to capture your PC's sound output independent of any sound card support, but it seems few programs have added that feature. Does anyone know of a program that does it that runs on Windows 7? FRAPS does it but records video as well, which I don't want.

How do I granularly increase the various fast-forward/rewind speed/rate for each of the speed settings for skipping through commercials?
The current defaults go from barely faster than playback, too fast for unexpectedly short commercials, to omfg its so fast I can't see what is happening.
Do people suffer with these defaults, or is there some better setting in the registry, or elsewhere?

Is there something which may:
- Play music, at the very least in MP3-format
- Play video in various codec's
- Helps in recording video of shows from TV through a TV-in card
- Helps in organizing music and videos
- Works with a keyboard and mouse
Additional pluses are:
- If it also is possible to browse the web through it, or at least start the web browser
- Has some games. Maybe through MAME or some other emulation like SNES or something.
- If it's also possible to control it through a game pad.
