How do I upload transparent avatar to twitter?

Whenever I try to upload a png with transparent background on twitter , I am getting a white background. I tried to upload different sizes pngs (24x24, 256x256, 512x512),but it didn't help. It appears twitter re-sizes the image & the transparency is lost.

However some other profile pics with transparent background (uploaded in 2011) is working just fine.

Any idea how do I upload a avatar with transparent background?

Edit: I don't really care about bigger pics(73x73). I just want my timeline profile pics(48x48) to stay transparent.

Why does GMail show two different pictures for my profile, one of which is not me?

Recently, a strange thing occurred in my account when viewing it on my laptop computer, I have my normal profile picture that appears in the upper right hand corner of what I see when seeing my mail at mail.google.com, however, if I pick any email in my inbox and view that email, after the email content is a separator line and a box that reads Click here to Reply or Forward and to the left of the box that contains that text is another picture that is not my profile picture, but a picture of one of my contacts.

Why is this random contact picture appearing next to my reply-to line and how do I get my own photo to appear instead of this other person's this is in my contacts? Is there some kind of corruption coming from my Android phone that is causing this? I checked my Google+ account (which I don't really use) and didn't see any issue with my profile picture there, is there some other place that is getting crossed wires with my gmail profile? I have confirmed that my email recipients see my correct profile picture, so I'm not sure if this random profile picture is showing up anywhere else as being me. I also see that if I go into my sent folder, each email I have sent shows this random profile picture as being me, the author of the emails I have sent.

I tried deleting the contact that has the erroneous picture showing up as me, deleting the contact from my phone and from my contacts at contacts.gmail.com, however, even after deleting that contact, I still see this extra picture as me that is really someone else.

How to avoid cropping Facebook profile picture and not lose its quality?

Every time I try to update my profile picture on Facebook, it asks me to crop it to a square. This happens both when trying to upload a new picture and when trying to use an existing picture from a different album.

Here and in multiple other threads it is suggested to update profile pictures from the mobile version of the site to avoid cropping them. However, it seems that changing profile pictures from the mobile site results in pictures losing their quality because Facebook seems to provide "high quality" picture uploads only via the main site. I tried two approaches and both failed:

  • Uploading a profile picture via the mobile site: no "high quality" option and quality is lost immediately
  • Uploading a picture to a different album via the main site (and checking the "high quality" checkbox) and then making it the profile picture via the mobile site: quality is preserved after the first step but lost after the second (high-quality picture remains in the other album, but the profile picture version loses quality)

Is there a way to avoid cropping the profile picture and have it in high quality?

How do I make an old profile picture on Facebook my picture again AND make it be at the beginning of the list?

I recently went through my profile pictures and deleted old, embarrassing ones. I then realized I had hardly any profile pictures left so, all at once, I added a bunch of more recent pictures of myself as profile pictures and changed the dates in the description. After I did this I had more pictures of myself as my profile picture so, I changed my profile picture back to the one it was before. (I went to the picture, went to options, make profile picture.) However, now all the pictures I had just made my profile pictures (mentioned above) come before my profile picture because my current profile picture is one from an earlier date and Facebook displays it from the old date. I want my current profile picture to be the 1st picture in the list but because it was an older picture, when I click on it, it shows that is the 10th in the list. I want it to be displayed as the 1st so when people look through my pictures, they will see the newer ones of me first rather than the older ones (but I don't want to upload the picture again because I want the likes and comments on it still). If this makes any sense, can anyone please help me?

Gmail profile picture visibility

I cannot set profile picture visibility for one of my profiles in Gmail. I have tried following this guide. I have also looked at How do I change my Gmail profile picture?

The problem I am facing is as follows:

Only one accout of two is affected. For the accout that is functioning normally I can upload the picture and then set the visibility as shown on a screenshot below:

enter image description here

For affected account I can upload the picture, but visibility options are not present:

enter image description here

Notes:

  1. My preferred option is "Visible to everyone". But when options are not visible, the behavior defaults to not visible to anyone at all even myself.

  2. Both accounts names have the same form: xyz.abcdef@gmail.com

  3. I don't have Google+ account and don't want to create one

What I have tried so far:

  1. Removing picture completely, signing out and trying again (no luck)
  2. Acccessing gmail from older HTML version of app (no option to upload the picture)
  3. Sending feedback to Google (waiting for response)

Make profile picture a picture from an album without recreating it

I have a picture in an album that I would like to make my profile picture, but it won't let me unless I crop it, making a new version. I would like to take my photo from my album, without having to create a new one (so my comments and likes do not erase), to my profile picture album. Is there anyway to do this?

How to remove profile image on YouTube on Google Apps account with Google+ turned off?

My daughters friend has a profile image on her Google Apps account from school, but wants none. It is already turned off in mail, but certain Google Apps use profile image from somewhere else, still the old image.

In YouTube when clicking change on image, it goes to a page saying Google plus is turned off for that organisation. Maybe it was turned on in the beginning. Hangouts also problem.

How to remove the profile image from everywhere?

How to backup and export all my pictures and data from Facebook?

Before, in Facebook I found a feature for backup my data. I sent that request and then Facebook sent me an email containing a link for downloading a file larger that 100 MB.

I want to back it up selective. And I want to download the archive in 5/20 MB split files.

Is there any way to do that?

View Twitter avatars in their original size by default

When I click on an avatar of a user on Twitter, it opens as a thumbnail picture. As far as I remember, they were opening as large pictures (in their original size) a week ago or so.

I found a little workaround to display avatars in their original size. At the end of every avatar URL, there is _bigger.jpg. I only remove the _bigger part and hit enter, and I get the originally sized Twitter avatar. For example,

http://.../mypicture_bigger.jpg -> http://.../mypicture.jpg

Is there any way to make Twitter do this by default?

Updating Gmail profile photo privacy after sending message, who can see it?

When I send an email using Gmail it has a profile pic and is visible to everyone. After sending a message, I changed my picture and set it to "not visible to contacts."

Will the recipient of the Gmail get to still see my picture or will it change to where they cannot see it any more?
