I have an issue with OS X El Capitan.
I just noticed in "About this Mac" that my version is "10.11 Beta (15A279b)" but in Software Update I have no option to upgrade to GM.
Should I just download the GM and perform an upgrade or would I have to wipe my entire system?
I have to upgrade since It's not possible uploading new iOS / OSX apps to the App Store with a Beta.

In Snow Leopard, I had the window switch animation disabled when I quick-key between spaces. Now that it's Mission Control in Lion, there's this long animation during which all my desktop icons disappear and I can't use anything. I'd really like to disable this, but the old fix doesn't appear to work.
Does anyone know how to disable this needless animation in OS X Lion or later?

I was trying to build an app which depends on PJSIP lib which should have some headers in /usr/include. But there is no /usr/include folder, and I can't create one even my account has administrator rights.

I use Thunderbird as email client on my Mac (El Capitan 10.11). The Unified inbox doesn't work for two accounts. The sent folder is unified however.
Total 10 accounts
- 4 Gmail, all pop, of which 3 unified (inbox and sent)
- 5 provider accounts, all pop, 4 unified inboxes, 5 unified sent folders
- 1 provider account, imap, not unified (and that's OK)
How can I get all accounts to appear in the unified inbox?

Situation:
I have a MacBook pro MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
And have 2 External Monitors ASUS VS247 Display connected via thunderbolt.
On each monitor, I have multiple Desktops/Spaces open.
Problem:
When I wake my mac from sleep, sometimes, it switches the recognition of the monitors and all the Desktops/Spaces from Monitor2 are now on Monitor3 and all Desktops/Spaces from Monitor3 are on Monitor2.
The main monitor (the one on the laptop) always stays the same.
This happens on an average once every month. I was unable to find a specific cause for this to happen.
I have my thunderbolt cables and ports color-coded. So, I am definitely not switching the cables around.

This is how my mission control settings look like.
[NO] Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use?
[Yes] When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application.
[No] Group windows by application.
[Yes] Displays have separate Spaces.
Does anyone else have the same issue? If so is there a fix?

When I boot the laptop from shutdown state (not resuming or awakening), it quickly goes to the login screen as normal but the mouse and keyboard seem unresponsive, but not completely:
Every like 5-7 seconds I'm able to enter a keystroke or move the mouse. Using those time windows I'm able to enter the password and successful login.
Once I login, the laptop works perfectly fine and stable.

It happens every time I fully reboot or shutdown the laptop, don't have any problems with suspension and awakening.
If I reboot resetting the PRAM, the problem doesn't appear until the next shutdown reboot. So what I usually do is reset the PRAM every time I boot.
I reinstalled the OS from scratch and the issue is still there. I also use FileVault.
Have anybody experienced a similar issue? Do you see anything strange in the log?

I've searched around, and so far I haven't found any helpful information, so I decided to ask here!

According to Mono, "Windows.Forms is part of a standard Mono installation." I'm not sure where to go from here now, since I downloaded the latest version of Mono and none of the documents/guides are helping. I would appreciate your help! Thanks.

In the last few weeks I've noticed my macbookpro (mid-2014, core i7, retina 16Gb RAM, el capitan patched to latest) running quite hot and looking at the CPU usage it seems it's cfprefsd that's doing the damage with over 90%.
I'm aware cfprefsd is just covering up for some other process but I don't know how to go about finding out. Anyone have any ideas?

I am no stranger to launchd on OS X. I've created several daemons in the past, last with Mountain Lion Mavericks.
However, I seem to be struggling to get the most simplest of plists working on Mavericks and El Capitan. Initially, I copied my plist that runs Tomcat and modified it to get WebSphere Liberty Profile running at startup. After seeing some errors, I decided to try the following example plist from Apple's own [site][1]. The following doesn't even run:

However, I've tried running the daemon with permissions set to 644 and 755, but I still see the same Console error.
Am I overlooking something?

This account has an OpenPGP private and public key. Recently I started over with a clean account, and had to recreate the Thunderbird profile. I imported the private keys to sign outgoing emails, which works.
Output for gpg -K, for one account. I have several keys, and all keys have this problem.

I'm following these steps to create a DMG file which can be used with VirtualBox. Unfortunately the same steps won't work for Install OS X El Capitan.app. The generated image is not bootable from Virtualbox and drops to an emergency EFI shell.
How can I prepare Install OS X El Capitan.app to work with Virtualbox?
Installing Yosemite as a VM and then upgrading works but I want to avoid this extra step and do a clean El Capitan install.

I upgraded to El Capitan (version 10.11 Beta 7, build 15A263e) a few days ago. Aside from issues related to permissions, everything seemed to work fine. However, when I try to run some Haxe libraries, or use the Python package manager pip, I get errors related to zlib, which I'm not sure how to resolve.
The Haxe error occurs when I try to run haxelib run lime setup, and I get this:

This is in addition to permissions errors with pip; I can't run pip without using sudo, but I think that's probably unrelated.
Any thoughts? I think that building the missing the zlib.ndll might fix the issue, but I don't know what the "right" way to do that is.

If you toggle System Integrity Protection off to tweak some things, unload daemons, delete apps, etc., will those changes survive toggling SIP back on and re-launching the machine, or will the changes be reverted?
This review, based on OS 10.11 beta, suggests that deleting certain apps like Chess.app did not give the system any hiccups. But would this behavior be different for changing launch agents or launch daemons behavior? What about editing defaults? If one is accustomed to using "dotfiles," will those changes persist or will some of them revert?
