Why does Google Drive delete files removed from the local computer?

I recently installed Google Drive in my Windows 8 Pro and there is a folder for Google Drive. When I put my files into this folder it got uploaded to Google Drive. When the uploads were completed, I deleted the files from my Google Drive folder in my computer.

Then after some time I logged in to my Google Drive account and was unable to see my uploaded files there. Why is this?

Dropbox Cloud Backup [closed]

Does Dropbox sync the entire files when a small change is made, or only the bytes of the changed content (like rsync). If it syncs the entire file everytime I save it, its huge waste of my bandwidth.

Are there any other cloud backup services (free of cost) which suits my requirement?

Storage limitations on Google Keep

I've tried searching for the answer but couldn't find it. Do the notes stored in Google Keep use space from the Google storage? Or is it free and unlimited like a Google doc in Google Drive?

EDIT: that's too good to believe they would give unlimited storage for pictures and audio recordings.

Nowhere did it state it's storage limit at all, but it'd just seems unlikely that they would give arbitrary storage for pics / docs / notes / songs / etc.

I mean if it's just 5GB then I'd wouldn't bother.
