How do you show a list of attendees in an Outlook 2013 calendar event?

A coworker recently enabled an extra view inside Outlook, so that when he opens up a meeting on his calendar he immediately sees a list of the people attending the meeting.

How do you enable this in Outlook 2013?

How can I save a .html file as an email template file for MS Outlook?

I have MS Outlook 365. I've created a HTML file I wish to use as an email template. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this.

I've tried searching online but all the existing tutorials deal with Outlook 2010 or 2013 or deal with creating a template from an existing plain text email.

Would anyone know how to achieve this or know of any tutorials that can help guide me?

Can IMAP clients read my contacts from Office 365?

I'm using a Mac. I'm using Postbox as my email client (which is actually Firefox thunderbird under the hood). I'm connecting to my email that is hosted in Office 365 via IMAP.

Email works great.

What I want to do is to sync my contacts from Office 365 to this machine via IMAP. Is that possible?

I know that the iPhone and Mac Mail app have native exchange abilities - but I'm asking about other IMAP clients and office 365 working together. Has anyone had to deal with this?

Transfer office365 licence

I have office 365 installed on my home PC and laptop. I pay Microsoft every month for the licence. However my work account allows me to install office on my own devices so I don't need to pay for something I am already entitled to. Is there a way I can switch between the two without having to do an uninstall/reinstall?

Office 365 Offline installer package

I have a license to install Office 365 (Home Premium) on multiple computers. Unfortunately, all I can download on the Office website is a 550KiB net-installer, i.e. one that downloads the complete package from the web and installs it right away without asking too many questions.

Now, doing this once is okay, although it’s a huge annoyance because my internet connection at home is really slow. However when thinking about doing that again for the next machine, I kind of don’t even want to upgrade at all… What’s worse is that a failed update today apparently bricked my installation, so I spent the last few hours waiting for my computer to download it again to reinstall it.

So, is there some download-once offline installer for Office 365? Or can I just use a Office 2013 (Professional) ISO and install that instead and then just activate it using my Microsoft account?

Another thing that is somewhat related is that the net-installer asks no questions at all, so I always get the full package with whatever default options there are. For my notebook, given its limited SSD disk space, I would rather configure this a bit, for example exclude Access and Publisher (I use these very rarely). Is this somehow possible?

How do I use (O365) Exchange Online custom attributes (1 to 15) when I have directory sync enabled and no exchange installed on-premises?

Here is my setup:

  1. Active Directory on premises - with no Exchange installed.
  2. DirSync tool to sync all users to Office 365

Now, I need to use CustomAttributes in Exchange - here is where the problems start:

  • I can't find the corresponding attributes in my on-premises AD-Schema
  • I can't set them directly on Exchange Online because I get an error saying that since the users are synced with on-premises AD, I can't change the custom attributes directly on Exchange Online and must change them in the on-premise AD.

And as I said, I haven't found a way to do this. Can someone help?

Also, I tried to find the attributes directly on the Azure AD to see if I can change them there, but couldn't.

Update: I tried to configure the FIM to not sync those specific attributes thinking that it would somehow unlock them so that I will be able to directly manipulate them on Exchange Online - but no, didn't work. Looks like my only option left is to extend the schema (which I just don't want to do - too afraid it may break something).

Certain things are not possible using the default e-mail rules like searching subjects or message bodies with wildcards. How do I install Visual Basic for Applications 2013 in Office 365?

I've recently taken out a subscription to Office 365 and have downloaded the desktop office programs. However, I'm trying to install an EPM excel addin and it's complaining that it needs "Microsoft Visual Basic for Application 2013 or later".

The thing is, all instructions online for Office 2013 involve going to Add/Remove programs and clicking change, which brings up the repair Office 365 dialog instead of allowing me to install the optional VBA component.

Does anyone have an idea as to how I can install VBA 2013 when I've got Office 365?

Outlook 2013 not showing emails older than aprox. 6months old in any folders

I migrated a VP of our company to Office 365 and now he's not seeing emails in folders that there should be. The problem seems to affect all folders but only emails after about 6-12 months old.

Other "clues" I've found are:

  • Emails can be seen from the Office 365 Outlook Web Access interface
  • The folders in Outlook will show the proper count of emails [75]
  • Outlook is pointed to an exchange server (Office 365)

I suspect it's some sort of "don't sync if older than X" type setting but I have no idea where that setting would be.

How do I view outlook 365 calendar in gmail calendar [closed]

There appear to be a thousand articles on how to view gmail calendars in outlook365, but I cannot seem to find any on doing the other way around.

I want to see an outlook365 calendar (my workplace) overlaid or imported, or whatever on my gmail calendar.

How to disable "clutter" feature in office 365

I'm using office 365 for business. A couple of weeks ago I got an email introducing the new "clutter" feature with a "click here to configure" button saying that if I didn't do anything, the feature would not be enabled. I deleted the email and the new clutter folder thinking that was the end of the matter.

Yesterday I got another email, again introducing the clutter feature, this time telling me it was already enabled. Sure enough, the clutter folder had reappeared and some emails were in it. I followed the instructions to go to the options screen (https://outlook.office365.com/owa/#path=/options/clutter) to disable it, but found that the feature is already set to disabled.

Anyone know how I can actually turn it off?

How to stop Office 365 update banner?

So Office 365 has recently started displaying a banner urging me to "GET THE NEW OFFICE". I don't want to, at least not right now. But every time I open one of the apps or a new document, I see the same annoying banner.

What can I check or uncheck or set or unset or whatever to keep this thing from popping up all the time? I haven't found anything in the application options or in my account settings online.

Office 365 Home premium gives rights to be installed on 5 different computers. Do I have to sign in with the same Microsoft ID for all 5 computers or can I sign in with my account on my computer and my wife's account on her computer?

Can I disable the Some files contain viruses dialog with OneDrive and Office365

I just started using Office 365 with OneDrive on a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1. Every time I edit a file on OneDrive in Microsoft Excel or Word, I get a dialog telling me:

Some files contain viruses that can be harmful to your computer. It is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source. Do you want to open this file? Program: Microsoft Word Address: https://d.docs.live.net/.../file.docx

Everyone in my office must edit dozens of Word and Excel 2013 files each day and this warning dialog is an interruption to the work flow. Yes, Microsoft, I'm certain all of these files are safe for my computer.

I was hoping for a smoother integration of Office 365 and OneDrive. Copying the file to my local machine and then re-uploading it to OneDrive kind of defeats the integration aspects.

Has anyone successfully disabled this warning or figured out how to add a OneDrive folder (or url) as an exception? Thanks!
