I have a PowerPoint presentation that is basically a slideshow. How can I extract all the images into a folder?
I've seen articles that direct you to save the presentation as HTML, but this file format is not in the PowerPoint 2010.
Any ideas?

I just upgraded to PowerPoint 2010, and have noticed that when I copy an image (right-click) from Google Chrome and try to paste it into a PPT, there is a short delay and the PowerPoint status bar reads something like: contacting the server before the image is pasted.
Who is PowerPoint contacting? Is this a new feature? I never noticed any such behavior in 2007...

How do I change the format of all of the pictures in a PowerPoint 2010 presentation? I know how to change the format of one picture, but there are over 40 pictures in the deck and I do not want to have to change each one manually.
The change I want to make is simple: I want to add a border to each picture. How the border is added or what it looks like doesn't matter much. Right now I am right-clicking on the picture and clicking on Format Picture/Glow and Soft Edges and adding a 5pt Glow with a transparency of 0.

The Microsoft Office Ribbon has a convenient gallery of styles to apply to pictures, shown here. It functions much like the Quick Styles gallery in Word for quickly applying formatting to text. But whereas one can create a new text style and add it to the Quick Styles gallery, I haven't been able to find a way to do the same with the Picture Styles gallery. The default styles aren't what I need, and the styles I do need involve changing multiple settings, so a shortcut would be nice. Am I stuck just using the copy-paste format options?

I want to be able to do:
- View two slides from same PowerPoint presentation simultaneously
- Edit these slides
My current workflow is to just make the far left "Slides" pane large enough I can see the content for the non-active slide and then jump back and forth as needed. This is somewhat annoying, though, because small text is not readable as you can only make this pane so large.
It would be great to not have to do this, but rather be able to more easily edit/view them simultaneously.

Is it possible to lock the fonts of a PowerPoint file?
I mean if there is any way to set a specific font to be the only one to be used in the document, which is a PowerPoint template, so anyone who uses it it'll have only one font to choose.
Thanks!

I'd like to have the current year appear on the footer of my slides.
I've been doing this by manually typing the year, but every year, I need to update all my slides. Can I insert the year automatically, just like I can insert the date and have it update automatically?

When moving animation motion parts around (the lines that start with a green arrow and end in a red one), they are snapping to each other. Is there a way to disable this?
I have tried disabling object snapping to both object and grids but it's still doing it.

I'm wondering if there's a feature in ppt 2010 to paste the formatting of one table onto another (e.g. table borders, cell background colour). I've tried all the paste specials but nothing seems to work.
It would seem really strange to me if this feature doesn't exist (you can paste formatting of other objects easily), so does anybody know how to do this?

This is likely very simple. In a powerpoint presentation, it's easy to have a bulleted list of items. How do you get a sub-bulleted list under a single bullet?

I am having a display issue in PP2010 (64bit). When I fire up PP and resize the display window, the screen refreshes incorrectly. Also, although you can click around and eventually find the object you want to edit, it isn't the most enjoyable way to work.
Any ideas why this is happening?

I want to change the proofing language of all my slides in a Powerpoint. I've tried setting the language via the Language Preferences menu, however this only changes it for new powerpoints.
