I know Word automatically generates a table of contents using heading levels 1 and 2.
I was wondering if it was possible to make Word include the Title formatting also?
I am using both Word 2010 and 2007 on a WIndows pc.

I have a 64-bit OS, but I seem to remember reading that Office 64 has issues with various plugins, etc.
Anyone have a recommendation for when I should install the 64 bit vs. when I should install the 32 bit?

How can I rotate (or insert) a single page into an Office Word document that is oriented differently that the other pages?
I know this can be done. I've seen in done in Word 2003 and older documents but figuring this out for Office 2007 (and greater) eludes me.

I have a document that is formatted in landscape, however I would like to save some space by printing 2 landscape sheets per portrait page. Whenever I set 2 pages per sheet option, though, whether I set portrait or landscape, it always puts the two pages beside each other rather than one on top and one on bottom. How do I accomplish What I'm looking for here?

Two landscape pages on a landscape page does not efficient use of space make

I attached a 3 GB file to OneNote. Then removed it by selecting it and pressing delete. But file size still remained ~3 GB. I emptied the OneNote recycle bin but still the size was same. I attached same file again and then removed it. Strangely this time size became 4 Gb.
Looks like the file is still attached even after removing. How can I permanently remove the attached file ?

I can't find a way to add a customized keyboard shortcut in OneNote 2010.
In particular, I want to change the default "ALT + =" shortcut, which adds a new equation.
(the key combination doesn't work with my layout!)

I like the fact that MS Office 2010 and Outlook 2010 have translation options, but what I would prefer is to use Google's translation services which are a lot better than Microsoft Translation. Is this possible?

I have a excel file I've put on a file server. When required i access it via a dll, fill it with some data in background only (through ExecuteExcel functionality).
It used to work before. Recently I changed 2003 office to 2010 office version. After that it started throwing below error.
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80070BBC): Office has
detected a problem with this file. To help protect your computer this
file cannot be opened.
Even now also it works sometimes, and sometime throws above error.
What is the problem here?

I made the worrying discovery today that after cropping a screenshot in Word, PowerPoint, and probably other Microsoft Office programs, the rest of the cropped screenshot is retained. This has made me fairly paranoid as I frequently take screenshots and crop them down to show the relevant piece of information, before sending the PowerPoint off to others. I assumed when you saved the document, the cropped portions of the image were discarded, but looking at work from years ago, I can still uncrop the rest of the image to see my entire screen.
Is there a way to disable this? This seems like a ridiculous security flaw.

Using Outlook 2010 with a corporate Exchange Server.
The rule I want to create is this:
After rule arrives from Blah@blah.com
and with Passed
in the subject
Move it to the SuccessBuilds
folder
and mark it Read
.
When I did that, the Outlook marked the rule as Client-Side. So I removed the part about marking it Read and it became a server side rule.
So I thought, ok, maybe marking an email as read is a client-side only activity. So I sent myself an email, closed Outlook, opened the email on my iPhone (thus marking it read). Then I opened the Outlook again and the email was already marked read. So clearly marking emails read can be a server-side activity.
So why is my rule being shoved client-side?

I can't find how to create curved text in Word 2010 like you could in previous versions through WordArt. The point is to have the text baseline follow some arc or circle.
In WordArt presets, I can only find stuff that formats each letter with shadows, etc. but not their position relative to each other. Can someone give me pointers?

Does Microsoft Office 2010 have version control? In other words, does it automatically save old versions of files?

I have Office 2007 and Office 2010 installed side-by-side. How do I stop the setup / configuration window from appearing each time I open a different version? If I open 2007, it will go through the configuration process, then I can use 2007 without issue until I open a 2010 application. Then, when I open any 2010 Office application it will go through the configuration process.
