Synchronizing Favorites between Microsoft Edge

I'm using Microsoft Edge on my fresh upgraded Windows 10. I imported my Chrome Bookmarks to Edge and just wanted to see if there is any way to sync my bookmarks across all my PC's?

I'm using a Microsoft Account for my sign in. Is there a way to sync them to onedrive for example and resync them on all my other machines?

How to use Microsoft Edge in mac?

Microsoft announced a new web browser in Windows 10 named Edge.

While there is no download option for Mac OS X (like Internet Explorer 5+), how can I use it and test my websites with it?

I know about Virtualbox, Wine and finally Bootcamp but isn't there an easier and more official way?

Is there a "compatibility view settings" in windows 10 edge

Before upgrading to windows 10 from 8.1 I was able to access my payroll and employee resources only by adding the web address to the list in "compatibility view settings" in internet explorer. Now that I'm upgraded I'm unable to get to this setting and I'm unable to open the page. I get this message:

Portal Logo

The Lawson Portal does not support this browser: Netscape. Use the Portal Installation Guide to determine the system requirements needed for running the Lawson Portal.

How can I work around this again?!!?!!!!?

Where is Microsoft Edge located in Windows 10? How do I launch it?

I have upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Home. But I can't find the Microsoft Edge web browser.

Does anyone know where it is located, or do I need to install it?

Update: I could find MicrosoftEdge.exe at C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe. But when I click on it, it doesn't run.

How to disable or uninstall Microsoft Edge in Windows 10

Is there any possibility to completely disable the new Edge browser? The old IE could be disabled in Settings → Default Programs, but in Windows 10, the checkbox is missing for Edge.

Is there any way to get rid of Edge, or at least to disable all entry-points?

Does Edge support ftp?

When trying to resolve a different problem I found that accessing an ftp-site I already have working as a network location in my windows file explorer, I found that Edge does not access the ftp server correctly:

on the left side: edge with a censored ftp url, showing an empty page, on the right side, internet explorer with a censored ftp url showing the beginning of a directory listing On the left side you can see edge showing an empty page, on the right side, internet explorer showing the beginning of a directory listing.

I have copied over the URL from Edge into internet explorer. Interestingly Edge didn't even deem it necessary to prompt me for credentials and just flat out refused to do anything beyond rendering nothing...

Is Edge misconfigured (from an out of the box windows installation)? Or am I doing something wrong?

Microsoft Edge can not display local web site

I have a local IIS running, with a binding like www.dev.mydomain.com, the hostname is listed in an external DNS server and name resolution works fine.

When opening the site http://www.dev.mydomain.com in Microsoft Edge I get this message:

Hmm, we can't reach this page.

Make sure that you’ve got the right web address: http://www.dev.mydomain.com

The F12 Network Tab doesn't show anything.

What does work:

  • Using Firefox, Chrome, IE-11 and Command Line tools on the local machine
  • Using Edge from another machine on the local network
  • Using Edge on the same machine but with a different user
  • Using Edge with my user but using localhost or an IP address either 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.x.x

What I tried but not solving the problem:

  • Restarting the Network List Service and the Network Location Awareness service.
  • adding www.dev.mydomain.com to the hosts file.
  • using TLS and https://www.dev.mydomain.com
  • Using the same Windows Proxy settings as for the user which doesn't have the problem.

So this is a problem specific to one user and Edge, other programs or users don't have this problem.

Any ideas what else I can do to diagnose this?

Links in Office always open in Edge (instead of default)

I've encountered an annoying issue where any links in Microsoft Office 2010 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) installed on Windows 10 always open links in Microsoft Edge. This is despite having set Firefox or Chrome (I tested both) as the default browser.

HTML files and links from other applications open in the default browser as expected. MS Office just says nope and forces links to open in Edge.

How can I get them to use my selected default browser?

How to enable Edge mode in IE?

I prefer the desktop IE interface to the new “Microsoft Edge” browser and I have IE set up the way I want (ad blocking, etc.). I do not want, however, to be constrained by the legacy MSHTML/Trident engine, which IE seems to default to. How can I enable the use of EdgeHTML by default in IE?

Edge & Store have no internet access

I somehow must have scrambled my Win10 install: everythink is OK, Chrome works fine, but Edge keeps saying "Hmm, we can't reach this page". Also the Store does not seem to have internet access, and (the main issue for me) also Google Photo (which seems to rely on Edge). Google Drive syncs fine, all other tools are OK.

I reinstalled Windows 10, running setup from Windows, with the hope it would recover from this without forcing me to reinstall every soft I have. The reinstalled seemed successfull, but did not improve that connectivity issue.

Disclaimer: I recently did some cleanup, and uninstalled SQL Server and Visual Studio and ran Ccleaner...and also uninstalled one or two of the numerous .Net frameworks and Visual C++ redistributable something (still have a dozen of those).

This is my last hope before reformatting and reinstalling from scratch.
As I said all works fine, except that Edge connectivity + the tools that seem to depend on that.
