Find the IP from which a person tried to reset Gmail password

Yesterday I received 2 SMS from my Gmail account. Somebody tried to login to my account. He/she tried to use SMS to reset my password. Can anybody tell me how to find the IP from which the attacker sent the password recovery SMS?

I didn't get any email from the Gmail team. I could easily login with my previous password after the attack.

How can I stop Gmail from serving me auto translations based on my IP address?

When I go to Gmail website (FireFox, if this info is needed) with a different IP (IP from Germany), they automatically translate the page to German.

How do I stop this behavior (in other words I want English no matter what)

Like even before I login to my account, the login page is already in German!

I am not able to view Last Login on Facebook in Active Session option

My Facebook ID has been hacked. I tried searching the location by visiting Active Session option but it shows only the current active session IP, which is used by me. All last 3 login are removed. Is there any other way to find out who logged in last and from where it was logged.

Can an IP address be incorrect?

Today while doing a Google search, I noticed at the bottom of the search results page a city and state that is not mine and the phrase "From your Internet address." I don't know if this has always appeared or I just never noticed.

Later as I was using Gmail and clicked on Details, the same city and state appeared. This city and state have never shown up here before.

The IP address also was different. Usually my IP address is X6.XXX.XX.XX but in this case it was X4.XX.X.X.

Is this something I should worry about?

Can email from web-based email service be tracked to my location?

I'm planning to send an email to someone and I have reasons to not want him to be able to find my location.

If I send an email, let's say: from my Hotmail to his Gmail or AOL account, will he be able to track me down?

What's the best way I can send him something without him finding what state, city, etc. that I'm from? I don't want him finding out anything.

Is possibile to get the physical location of an article/page created on a website?

I know this is an hard question to answer. Imagine the you created a website and wrote an article/page in it, say on 08/15/2001 at 12:35PM.

Question: Is possible to track the physical location where the article was created (mean uploaded)? I was thinking about get the IP address of the creator (from the hoster) and thank ask (to his Internet provider) about the physical location of that IP at that time.

Secondary questions: Is the IP addres on the site host tracked? How long the IP address of the Internet provider would be stored?

Obtain dump of IPs used by a mobile device

Using Google Takeout it is possible to get a dump of geo-locations that one visited using the mobile (or maybe it also involves the desktop/notebook?). Anyway, is there a way to get a list of IPs that I used with my mobile device together with timestamps?

Gmail 'Account Activity' consists of my Android logins?

Wanted to check if there is a way to see what is the IP address of my own Gmail (Hangout) account of my Android device.

I don't have direct access to the device right now. But my Gmail/Google+/Hangouts etc. are configured and are online. I wanted to trace the device using the IP address which it is using.

I already checked this question. It asks about the IP address of another person in chat. What am asking is my own IP address.

Google search for "my ip" shows incorrect IPv6 address instead of correct IPv4 address

Google says my IP address is something like this (I've changed it just in case there is anything personally identifiable in it).

Your public IP address is 2602:306:78c5:6a40:421e:6813:d55:ce7f

The above number (similar to the one Google gives me) translates to this integer:

50521109793518520187427681667365850751

(see http://www.webdnstools.com/dnstools/ipcalc for the best IP calculator I've found.)

My actual IP address, found at http://www.whatismyip.com, is something like this (again I've changed it a bit):

108.88.1009.77

Which is this integer:

1817734477

The Google IPv6 address isn't even in the IPv4 range. And why would Google say that is my address while WhatIsMyIP shows the seemingly correct IP?

IP Address from Web History

The web history help page (https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/54068?hl=en&ref_topic=14148) states that along with search results it collects the IP address data for each search, i.e., an indication of where the search originated.

However, this information is not displayed in the web history online.

How can I get IP address data from my web history?
