How do I get Google Tasks back on Google Calendar after “reminders” has replaced it?

Google offered me the possibility to to used Google reminders in my calendar, if I wanted.

I said, ok, let's try it.

Now Google Calendar has gone and there seems to be no way to get it back: How do I get "Tasks" in my list of calendars?

Is there some kind of reset to basic I can do to remove the darn reminders or at least a method of getting reminders to sync with tasks?

Is there a wrapper around gmail tasks API?

I would like to write an app that displays and manages gmail tasks.

There's a couple on Android but none on Windows Phone 7. The Android ones are not open source and there's no official documentation for the API. This'd mean I probably won't be doing this app as it'd involve a lot of time snooping around figuring out the API.

Does anyone know of a wrapper around the API or any documentation for it?

Google Tasks - Hide completed tasks, don't delete them

I have about 10 unfinished and 10 completed tasks in my Google Task list.

To mark a task as 'done', I click on a checkbox, this puts a strikethrough through the task. This still leaves the a cluttered list of tasks in my task list.

My other choice is to purge all tasks in my task list, using "Actions: Clear Completed Tasks". However, this deletes all of my tasks. I'd like to keep the task list around, for posterity.

Is there a way to hide my completed tasks from view, without deleting them?

How to delete completed tasks in Google Tasks

I've lots of completed tasks in Google Tasks since using it for couple of years. And I wonder how to clear the competed tasks list. Regarding this Google Groups discussion, which is closed due to inactivity, it's not possible.

But I've found one solution: it's marking completed tasks as uncompleted and deleting them from list. It's ok for coupled of tasks, or maybe tens, but not for thousands.

Is there any way to permanently delete them, once and forever (except completely deleting the Google profile)?

PS: I've also fount out that it takes up to 1 month to delete those tasks from Google servers completely, which is quite some time.

Is there a way to remove the "Tasks" calendar in Google Calendar?

A "Tasks" calendar appears in my list of "My Calendars" in Google Calendar. It's only a minor irritation, but I have a small screen, I don't want it and never plan to use the Task list. Can I stop it appearing or remove it? When I look at the Settings page for my Google Calendar account, it appears that it cannot be deleted.

Can I set a reminder for Google Tasks based on their due date?

Is it possible to be notified before a task is due, similar to how you can set notifications for events on Google Calendar?

How do I get "Tasks" in my list of calendars?

I am the administrator of a Google Apps domain. On at least four accounts in my domain, one of which is my own, (and on any new accounts that I create) the Tasks calendar is not in the list of calendars.

When I go to SettingsCalendars, I don't see a Tasks calendar anywhere on the page.

Tasks work fine in Gmail, but I would like to see tasks with a due date on my calendar. I have found many Google help articles that mention the Tasks calendar, but I cannot find any help for when that calendar does not exist.

How do I add the Tasks calendar to my list of calendars?

I have the free subscription to Google Apps, so I have no email or phone support contacts at Google.

Google Keep backed with Google Calendar

I use Google Keep to remember tasks to be done and want to store them in Google Calendar. Sometimes I use Google Now to set reminder, however they go here.

I want consistent look of tasks, events, and reminders, preferably in Calendar. How do I find all these together? I wish to keep record of past events/tasks too.

Is there any way to delegate the tasks or reminders to friend? Is there any way to share tasklist with Family Circle? It would be useful to share tasks like, pay telephone bill, go to airport to pick up guest with family circle, whoever completes/takes can mark it as over/taken. So no two attempt the same.

Advice on how to handle syncing multiple Trello boards' due dates with android?

I really like the visual presentation/interface of Trello vs other ticket boards or project collaboration platforms that have been too large for my needs. I've been using it for about 5 months, but still feel new with it. I am still trying to figure out how to work around some of the current limitations of due dates and mobile access to the platform.

Ideally, I would LOVE a way to sync Trello due dates as tasks instead of as a calendar. And then have a widget or app dashboard that could display the tasks like Todoist can, filtered & grouped as Overdue, then Today, then next 5 days.

Does anyone know a good way to do this? Ideally without paying for a third party, but I'm not entirely against it as long as it's not some sort of per edit fee system since I'll always be altering dates and only be increasing card use over time.

See below for my usage structure, tools and attempted calendar tools

Thank you!

Eliz

Current Usage

  • Three Organizations
    • Solo user currently for all boards - no assigns
    • 1-3 boards each for now that I want to sync due dates/reminders for
      • Personal life
      • My Business (build/expand/structure)
      • My Primary Client

Primary Access Tools

  • Chrome or Firefox on Win 7 Chrome only Add-ons for visual cues, though they impact title display in any other access
  • iPad : Official App
  • Android Smartphone
    • DigiCal+
      • to be able to use color code per calendar but also can alter individual appts,
      • join multiple calendars for widget views (can only display all calendars synced)
    • PureGrid/PureCal Widgets
      • to build widgets for select calendars only

Calendar streaming

Trello build in Calendar feed creation

  • 1 per Board
  • DISPLAYS AS
    • Title = Card Title [List Name], Location = Board Title, Description = Card URL, Assigned Members and timestamp of last feed update
  • PROS
    • Includes List Name
    • Seems to be updated faster. (Not sure if that's because the Android Tools/Widgets can request sync updates or if it's due to the native Trello feed)
  • CONS
    • All due date times are set for 1 hour
    • Requires keeping 6-8 more Google Calendars managed (already have 4-6 between existing Google calendars, an old Touchdown calendar, people, Facebook etc)

Alternate Options

Trello2iCal Feed

  • creates a stream of some/all boards
  • Currently set up 1 feed for all boards with dates
  • Feed is then imported to GOOGLE as an external Calendar
    • Syncable with iPad Calendars and Smartphone
    • Can add notifications to appear before due dates (default set to 5 days, 1.5 days, 3 hours)
  • DISPLAYS AS
    • Title = Card Title, Location = Board Title, Description = Card URL
  • PROS
    • can choose a single color on Android to represent Trello tasks vs true calendar events
    • Doesn't require card assignments
    • Event length can be 0 minutes
  • CONS
    • Subject to sync timing limitations, not immediate, seems to be roughly once a day so when update/push out dates, can't prevent notifications or get phone to display correct data until the following day.

Trello Android App

  • Widget requires cards to be assigned to you ( I don't have any card assignments on any boards)
  • Looks like they list cards, but wasting a lot of screen space for each?

Trelloid Android App

  • Widget requires cards to be assigned to you ( I don't have any card assignments on any boards)
  • No list widget, flippable type cards only
