Losing Subscripts in Google Docs when exporting to PowerPoint

When I'm saving my presentation in Google Docs as Microsoft PowerPoint, all the letters marked as subscripts appears as regular letters in the PowerPoint document.

Does anyone else notice this? (I didn't find anything about it on the web.)

Is there a workaround for this? It's really obnoxious to re-subscript all the letters again.

edit: asked on Google official help forum. Will update here if there's an answer there.

Google Slides Displays Emoji in Black & White

I am using emoji in a slide show. However, when I play the slideshow, the emoji show up in black & white. Any idea how to fix this?

I know I can download the show as a pptx file, but I also want to include some YouTube videos, which is why I need to keep it on Google Slides

How to export Google Docs Presentation speaker notes?

Is there a good way to export the speaker notes out of a presentation in Google Docs Presentation and keep the formatting?

The things I tried are

  • Printing—this works fine only if the notes are short. Longer text is being cut off.
  • Export to TXT—this exports all text, but I'm losing formatting.

Is there a way to change the default Google Slides animation?

Google Slides has its default animation setting to be "Fade In" with a non-instantaneous speed (see picture). I know I can change it manually to "Appear" and "Fast", but is there a way to change the default so I don't have to do it for every single object. enter image description here

Assign size to image in Google Slides

I would like to assign the size of an image in Google Slides. I don't want to do it with the mouse because it is not letting me put the size I really want. I want to enter a number and that the software respects the number I enter, like in Microsoft Power Point. Is it possible? How?

How do I use "incremental reveal" with the new Google Drive Presentation creator?

I am using Google Drive to create a presentation in which I have four square objects. I want one to be revealed each time I click (I think the old phrasing was: "incremental reveal").

Is there any way to do this other than creating four separate slides with each keyframe?

How to insert a named-range of spreadsheet cells into Google Slides

Google Slides has the ability to insert a chart object (Google-sheets). This instance in the slide can be dynamically updated each time the source-chart is changed. Chart insertion is performed by navigating: Google-Slides => Insert => Chart => From Sheets.

Likewise, the goal is to embed a named-range of Google Sheets cells and embed it into a Google Slides presentation. Is it possible to somehow alias the named-range as a chart so that it can be pulled in via the same mechanism and updated when?

How to optimize images in Google Presentation?

Google Presentations allows you to crop and re-size imported images into a presentation, but the changes aren't permanent.

Is it possible to make image changes permanent and therefore save filesize in a Google Presentation? If so, how?

(It would be great to do it straight from the app rather than cropping in an external application and re-uploading content.)

How can I put an equation into a Google Docs Presentation and maintain the formatting?

I read a similar question on the Google Docs Help forums, but if I copy an equation that contains a symbol without using an image (such as the ∈ symbol), the symbol goes away in the presentation. Is there a way I can create equations in a presentation and/or get an equation that I made in a document out and put it into a presentation without losing any formatting and without using an image?

Embed iFrame in Google presentation

Is it possible to embed a website in an iFrame inside a Google presentation in Google Docs/Drive?

I tried it, looked through all menus and submenus but couldn't find an option which lets me embed web-content other than videos from YouTube.

I know that its possible in PowerPoint but for once I'd like to go with an online-only solution.

Save all Google presentation slides as images

I have a Google presentation with many slides. I tried FileDownload As → SVG or PNG, but only the first slide was converted. Is there a way to automatically convert all slides to images?

How can I see statistics for a Google Slides presentation

Specifically, I'd like to see the amount of visits that it gets and the geographic region. Is that possible at all? Searching in Google it looks like it was possible at some point but for the life of me I can't find it in the interface.

Show & Sync Google Slides speaker notes on separate device

Invariably when I give a presentation in a new room or conference center the resolution is all different and I cannot see my speaker notes in a consistent way on my laptop, or the screen the audience sees is out of view from me, or some other issue. I would love to be able to sync the speaker notes on my tablet for the presentation I am showing with a mirrored screen on my laptop. (Laptop mirroring the projector, tablet showing the speaker notes)

How to show Google Slide Presentation while seeing the notes on other computer?

I have created a Google Slide with lots of notes on every slide.

I am showing the presentation from a computer connected to a projector.

How can I reuse a background in Google Slides?

I chose a background image for one slide, and then when I wanted to use it for another, I had to upload it all over again. How can I just re-use a background from somewhere else in the deck?
