Clarifications about custom URLs in Google+

I want to register a custom URL for my Google+ page (I'm eligible)

I have some questions.

1. Suppose my page name is John Doe. Google forces me to have google.com/+JohnDoe + some extra characters in my choice. google.com/+JohnDoe isn't registered, why can't I directly register that?
2. Custom URLs are case-sensitive?
3. Would the old plus.google.com/5432503297532095473210197 address still be accessible? Because of that note in the agreement which says "the service could become a paid extra in the future", I'd like to continue linking on websites the old, long and impossible to remember address.

YouTube connected to the wrong Google+ page

Somehow my business has two Google+ pages and my business YouTube channel is connected to the wrong one. How do I switch the YouTube channel connection so it is connected to the correct Google+ page?

One of the best things about G+ for brands is the ability to segment and target people according to whatever criteria you want. But is there a limit on how many circles a single brand page can create?

I just tried to correct our company's address on Google Maps and ended up creating a "My Business" Google+ page in the process.

Unable to Request Different Custom URL For Google+

I received the notification on Google+ Page pre-approved custom URL and would like to request for a different URL. On the Google+ Help Page, it stated there that we can request a different URL but there was not such option as described for our page. Looking around the internet, i could not find anyone with similar situation and tried accessing the page as manager. From my research, other people do have the option to request different suitable URL for their page. Please advice and thank you for checking out this question.

How do I get 'pages' notifications into my own notification inbox?

Both Facebook and Google+ show me notifications in a little menu when someone mentions me or comments on my posts. This is useful.

Both Facebook and in Google+ lets me create pages, and so I've created one for my company and one for my product.

Problem:
When anyone likes or comments or shares these pages, the notification is sent to the page and not to my user account. This means I have to check each page just to see if there are any notifications -- very tedious.

How can I conveniently monitor notifications about these pages?
Is there no way to have the notifications delivered to my personal notification menu?
