When folks join my Google Group, they are defaulting to "no email".
I can't see how to change that default to "all email" or at least give them the choice.

I am participating in a Google Group, and it is not possible to post by email:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
foo@googlegroups.com
Technical details of permanent failure:
The group foo@googlegroups.com does not allow posting through email.
Is there some documentation online that explains how to enable posting by email, and that I can send to the Group's owner?

I'm an admin using a free version of Google Groups as an email list.
Lately, Google Groups has been holding a lot of legitimate emails from subscribed users as spam. Worse, it hasn't been informing me of this quickly so I can approve those messages in a timely manner.
I've found a Google Groups for Businesses, but not for free users like myself. Is there such a help forum?
Is there anything I can do to get Google to not sequester my users' email as spam?

Some projects host their mailing lists on Google Groups, like this: http://groups.google.com/group/mojolicious
I'm an old-fashioned guy, and I don't like reading mail on the web. I would very much prefer to get these mails in my normal inbox (which is also not hosted by Google).
Is it possible to subscribe to Google Groups mailing lists like they're normal, non-Google-hosted mailing lists? If yes, how?

We're using Google Apps to handle our email (me@example.com), and according to Google you could set up a collaborative inbox for your business email through Google Groups (link).
But when I sign in and click the "New group" button I can just use their "@googlegroups.com" email, and for this reason the group is not at all associated to the company.
I feel like an idiot when I'm lost in a service by Google - what am I doing wrong?

I currently have two Google Groups: A and B. Is there any way to merge these two groups together and move all the people in group B into group A?
There are some people who are in both groups, so ideally the solution would handle duplicates.
I did find one solution, but I couldn't find the 'groups tab' the answer referred to. I suspect that answer referred to an older version of Google Groups, but if not and I'm just overlooking it, could somebody provide a more detailed breakdown of what to do?

When doing date-range searches on Google Groups I find many wrong answers from non-Usenet sources. Is there a way to only search Usenet on Google Groups?

I just posted a reply to a topic in Google Groups. It says it is under review. How will I know when it is accepted and where can I find the queue of pending posts?

My company uses Google Apps and has a number of email lists (I think they're called groups) e.g. group1@example.com.
group1@example.com has me as a member.
Is there any way for me to find out who else in my company is a member of that group without admin access?

I have various groups set up for my organization to facilitate easier sending of emails to their members. Everyone is a member, except that I am an owner of these groups. Several others need access to be able to email these groups, but making them owners would mean they would receive future correspondence intended for the group. How can I allow only certain users to email a group, but not allow them to receive emails sent to the group? I am set up with an Education account; the additional Business features are not enabled.

When posting a new topic in Google Groups, I made a few misleading typos that I wanted to correct, but I couldn't find a way to edit the post. Is it possible to edit a post in Google Groups (in case I need to correct something in the post?)

The development efforts on Google Groups is glacial. They still aren't integrated with Google Calendar or Picasa. Subgroups are still only available for Google's own groups. What alternatives are there to Google Groups for the purpose of hosting a discussion group? I would like something with more features than what Google Groups offers.

I'm setting up a Google Group for use as a mailing list with a non-technical audience. I want to be able to allow them to perform all necessary actions without using anything but their email address.
I see that it is possible to subscribe or unsubscribe by sending an email to
mygroup+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com
or
mygroup+subscribe@googlegroups.com
Is there a similar email target that would let me perform the following actions:
- Change a subscription from regular delivery to daily-digest
- Subscribe with daily-digest turned on from the start

In the new user interface of Google Groups, how do I see all the posts to the various groups made by me?
