A computer I use doesn't have access to chrome.google.com/extensions website. I wish I could download the plugin and then use the file to install it, but the only option I have is to install. The plugin is downloaded to a temporary folder with a random name, and I'm not able to identify it.

Is there a Chrome Extension which can be used to quickly switch between two locales (e.g. English and German) quickly? Some websites detect the user's language using the Accept-Languages
HTTP-header while not having any UI to configure the desired language. In that case the only way I know of to change the language is to change the mentioned HTTP-header.
Actually, any quick way to switch locales will do. It does not have to be an extension.

Is there any extension to Chrome that will let me force a URL from a particular domain to be redirected to another domain?
(E.g. Redirect http://www.google.com
to https://encrypted.google.com
.)
Note: I'm looking for an arbitrary redirector, not KB SSL Enforcer, which only works for the specific task of redirecting to HTTPS.

Are there any extensions for Chrome that allow me to export all currently opened tabs as a text file, containing all the URLs of those tabs?
I don't necessarily need it to be a text file if there is another way that you can think of. My goal is to share the URLs with someone via email.
I'm currently using Session Manager to save my open tabs but it has no functionality to export them as described above.

As a developer I sometimes need to be able to make GET/POST requests without having a form on the page. Are there any plug-ins that allow me to submit GET/POST requests to a specified page and then see the results?

I am trying to install a free extension in Google Chrome, but whenever I click "Add To Chrome", I am asked to sign in to a Google account. This has never happened before, and I do not want to use an account just to install an extension. This problem is occurring for all extensions. How can I install extensions without signing in?

as of last week I had a status bar in chrome. i know it's not on full time, but it does show up when necessary (or at least it did)
it was useful for 2 things
page loading status
link hover info
not sure what happened, but it's gone and i can't find any settings for it.
i did not install any extensions to have it in the past.

I want to turn on the feature where whenever I hover over a hyperlink and in the bottom lefthand corner it shows a light blue hover tooltip about where that link goes.
It looks like that since some days this earlier always-on feature is missing (Compare "Turn off the link hover statusbar in Google Chrome ")
Why do I want to turn it on? It's annoying to me to not see the URIs I'm going to request. I am distracted as I work not knowing those.
I really do care where a given link goes and wish I could turn that feature on again, even if I have to install a Google Chrome Extension (well I hate installing superfluous extensions, so better not and just give the flag or option name for that feature).
So, is there a fix to turn the amazing link hover tooltip feature on?

Does anybody know how to re-enable your own extensions after they were disabled by the Chrome v35 update?
(Mostly greasemonkey scripts in my case, thus simple .js files previously drag-n-dropped in to the extension windows. )
When I started up Chrome today I got the warning that some non-ChromeWebStore extensions were disabled.
More info was giving on this link:
Extensions disabled by Chrome
You're seeing this notification because one or more of your Chrome
extensions has been turned off to make Chrome safer. The extensions
didn't come from the Chrome Web Store or were installed without your
permission.
For your protection, you can only use Chrome extensions that you get
from the Chrome Web Store.
To see a list of your extensions:
- Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
- Select Tools.
- Select Extensions.
Extensions that have been disabled are grayed out and you won't be
able to re-enable them.
I was hoping I could still enable them by activating developer mode for my extensions but still no luck..
Any tips anyone?
P.s. this is not a duplicate from Activating a Chrome extension that is not from the Chrome Web Store as this is related to the chrome v35 update

I use Chrome across 4 different workstations and I have my extensions synced across all of them.
The problem I have is that one of the extensions (Gestures for Chrome) works great if you've got an actual mouse, but on a trackpad on Ubuntu, it just gets in the way.
If I disable it on the Ubuntu machine, it gets disabled on all Chrome installations due to its internal sync mechanism.
Q: Can I selectively disable an extension on just a single machine?

I'm a big fan of It's All Text for Firefox, as it's really helpful to be able to quickly open up gvim and write out code, wiki markup, etc in a powerful editor rather than trying to do edits in a large text box. Is there a similar plugin for Chrome? I'm looking for a cross-platform solution, or at least something that will work on Linux.

Google Chrome is crashing when I try to open it. I'm assuming that it's probably a bad extension that's causing the problem.
How can I start up Chrome with all extensions disabled / turned off?
