Is there a good equivalent to Mint.com for users outside the USA? [closed]

I'd love to use Mint.com but it's not available in the UK. Any idea when it might be available in the UK, or are there any recommended UK equivalents?

Importing financial history into mint.com

Now that MS Money is no longer viable, I need to move to some other money management tool. Is it possible to import your historical financial records into mint.com? I have six years of history in Microsoft Money that I don't want to lose.

Web apps for managing financial portfolios [closed]

I've been looking for a decent online portfolio manager for a while and not found anything. I'd like something that:

  1. Is UK based, i.e. can price in GBP and can get UK fund prices
  2. Can access a large range of funds, not just individual stocks
  3. Automatically updates my fund/share prices
  4. Is easy to enter transactions in bulk (not that I make that many, it's very very offputting entering all historical transactions one by one)
  5. Has limited advertising

Google spreadsheets has been the best I've found so far...

Automatic currency conversion in a Google spreadsheet

I would like to add an automatic conversion thing to my spreadsheet.

I have two columns, A1 titled Money in USD and B1 titled Money in BRL. I want to make it so whenever I enter a value in the USD column, it automatically enters the BRL value to the BRL column.

I found this:

=GoogleFinance("CURRENCY:"USDBRL")

...but I don't really know how to work with it for my purpose. And basically, I don't know how to work with any functions at all.

Is that easy enough or even possible?

I have this test sheet here that I made editable, if it helps.

IOU application with email integration

Currently I track how much money I owe people by emailing myself. Is there a web application for simplifying this with decent email support - ie. I can email it who I owe, how much and what for and which will let me know if it couldn't understand the email?

Looking for alternatives to QuickBooks online [closed]

Looking to keep books for a non-profit organization via an online accounting system. It should have basic accounting functions including the ability to add and track vendors and donors (customers?).

I prefer a secure online solution versus client only software to facilitate access to multiple people.

Good application for tracking member subscriptions?

I'm starting a small non-profit, that accepts donations from "members" in the form of monthly dues. I'm wondering if there are any web apps out there that will help me track their payments? Something easier than keeping a spreadsheet in excel. Integration with paypal to automatically update the data if they pay online would be nice, but it also needs to support manual entry, as some will pay via cash / check.

Personal Finance web applications for the UK market [closed]

We are sadly without mint in the UK, however there are several other personal finance web applications out there.

I (and probably others) would like a comprehensive list of personal finance web applications for the UK market together with information about the features they support (i.e. importing bank statements, budgeting, bill payments etc.) and their general usability.

Hopefully this question could become the canonical destination on the web for users looking to select a online personal finance/money management application for the UK market.

Is there any web application or service to read the Invoices (different variations) and export the data? [closed]

I've been researching this for a very long time, and figured I'd bounce this off the community in case anyone has a lot of knowledge in this department.

My company has to handle a lot of paper invoices. We work with waste companies (Waste Management, Republic, Allied, etc), and get an absolute ton of invoices per month. We then have to turn these all into data in our systems to make it through AP/AR, and we've been doing this by manual data entry.

I've been looking at various OCR web services, the best of which has been Captricity. With Captricity, I can upload a blank template of an invoice (so lets say Waste Management), and then month to month, I upload the invoices, and it pulls data from pre-mapped sections of the page, and outputs to .csv

That's all great, but my problem is in template management. Think of it this way - you eat at your 5 favorite restaurants, but the format of your final bill could be 500 different versions; did you get a steak? No appetizer? Pepsi instead of Coke? 4 guests instead of your usual 2? Oh, and did you eat at Applebees instead of Chilli's, because that changes the whole receipt layout...

Waste bills are the same way, and very soon I could literally have 1000 templates for our business. Theres no way I can ask an employee to scroll through 1000 templates for each invoice and match it- they may as well do it by hand!

So the question is, is there any web application or service to read (OCR) the Invoices (different variations) and export them into the data (e.g. csv file)?

Import key statistics without a header row

I'm interested in pulling a specific # from Yahoo Finance.

I'm looking at American Airlines AAL

I have found the table:

=importhtml("https://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=aal&ql=1","table",11)

But I am having trouble trying to query the Price/Sales (ttm): information.

This is what I have and when I tried to query it:

=query(importhtml("https://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=aal&ql=1","table",11), "where Col1 = 'Price/Sales (ttm):'")

How do I not include the Market Cap?

How to get historical currency data in Google spreadsheets?

I use this formula to get the currency:

=GoogleFinance("CURRENCY:EURUSD", "price", DATE(2006,10,2))

But when I enter a date before 2006-10-2 I get an error.

Is there any way to get older data when it comes to currencies?
