Is there any way to tell which of my messages have been auto-forwarded?

I'm using Gmail, but I suppose this would be useful in any webmail application.

Someone I know got into my Gmail account and set up an auto-forwarding address (Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP -> Forwarding). Forwarding is turned off now, and I've secured the account, but I'd like to know what they got. Nothing shows up in the Sent Mail folder.

Does Gmail forward Spam after you've setup forwarding?

Sometimes Gmail sees a genuine message as Spam by accident and then automatically marks the message, moving it to the Spam folder.
So in my case I've setup my Gmail account to forward the incoming mail to my alternative email address.
My question now is, does Gmail forward Spam messages as well? I need to understand how this works in order to setup either a filter to recognize important emails based on addresses or to go and un-mark the genuine emails in Spam every now and then.

Disable Fwd label in Gmail while forwarding mails

I forward mails a lot and I don't want to reveal to the receiver that the mail is being forwarded. So each time while forwarding I end up manually removing the Fwd: label from the subject and the

from the body.

Is there any way to activate labeling only when needed?

Searches for the solution weren't productive. Is there any trick or workaround other than manually removing them?

How do I forward my Gmail to my Facebook email address?

I have been trying to find a way to forward emails from my Gmail address to my Facebook email address. When I went to Gmail settings and tried to set up email forwarding from there, Gmail was unable to send a confirmation code to my Facebook address because Facebook rejected the email and returned a copy of the email with the confirmation link all X'd out.

It's simple to set Gmail to forward all incoming mail to another account. However, the spam filtering is done before that takes place, so any messages that Gmail considers spam will end up in the forwarding account's spam folder.

What I want is to never need to log into the forwarding account. However, in order to check for false positives, if the spam isn't forwarded, I do need to periodically log in, just for that purpose (since otherwise I have no idea that the mail was ever received).

Is it possible to do this? I know that I can use a filter to forward mail matching criteria and set that filter to bypass the spam check, but I need the filter to match all messages, not just some. Using in:spam as the filter criteria gives a message that the in/is/label searches don't apply to incoming mail.

Forwarding as attachment instead of inline using the GMail web client

Everytime someone sends a mail to my company's support email address, it reaches my boss. He then forwards the mails to whoever of us he thinks could be helpful, usually with a message like "Could you check this and follow up with him?".

However, he always forwards me the emails inline, not as an attachment, which makes it impossible for me to reply; I can only compose a new mail to the original sender.

I've asked him to sent the forwarded emails as attachments instead, but there seems to be no obvious way to do that in the GMail web client he's using. However, the comment on this question seems to suggest that it's possible (and I would imagine so, as it's a fairly standard email function).

So, how can he enable forwarding as an attachment in the Google webmail interface?

How to forward/re-direct emails from Outlook Live WebApp account

Our work email accounts were just transferred from our in-house server to Outlook. I want to forward some or all emails arriving in that mailbox to another account. I can't seem to find such an option once I log on to the Outlook account. I'm looking for a re-direction from within Outlook rather than having another account log in thru POP and access my emails. Forwarding emails from outlook.com to Gmail

I need to forward e-mails to my Gmail account from outlook.com (due to their IMAP lack), but I don't find the option in the settings or anywhere—their layout is highly unintuitive.

Note: Please note that I am not talking about MS Outlook or MS365, I’m talking about the new outlook.com. I also do not want to forward from Gmail to outlook.com—that is described in the help already.

According to this article, mobile access is possible, but it doesn't work for me on iOS.

Change the from address when forwarding a message in Gmail

Normally when you setup Gmail to forward a message via a rule, the from address will not be changed from the originating email. This is different than a manual forward which will quote the forwarded message and change the from address to your current email address.

Is there any way to have Gmail automatically forward email but also show the sender as being the account that is forwarding the email instead of the originating email address.

I know that I can set up a temporary POP account which reads these messages and then forwards them, the problem with this method is that the POP access is not instantaneous.

If this is not possible in Gmail, are there any alternatives?

Here's an example:

Say you have A send an email to B which forwards it to C (A > B > C). C will see that the message came from A (A > C). I would like it to appear that it's coming from B (B > C).

I don't mind that the headers may contain information which reveals that the message originated from A. I only care that the "from" field shows B instead of A.

Background: Forwarding custom domain's email to and from Gmail

I've got a personal Gmail account that I've had for many years at example@gmail.com. Of course, the address isn't “example”, it's something I set up on a whim years ago. Now, I've got myname@mydomain.com via email forwarding in Namecheap, and would like to use that for all my future professional and public interactions.

What I've done so far: Email forwarding and Send Mail As

I used Namecheap's domain configuration for “All Host Records” to use their Free Email Forwarding option, and added byname as the User Name and example@gmail.com as the Forwarded To address. I'd like to use Namecheap's email forwarding, as it's super easy, but I'm open to running my own mail server, as long as it, too, forwards mail to and from Gmail.

Then, I set up the example@gmail.com account to send mail as myname@mydomain.com through Settings → Accounts and Import → Send Mail As, and I've tried this with Treat as an alias both set and cleared. The mail gets delivered, and shows that the sender is the myname@mydomain.com address, and clicking “reply” populates this address in the “to” field as it should. This is all well and good for 99% of the population.

What's not working

Unfortunately, showing the original message from within Gmail reveals that the Sender, Return-Path, Received-SPF, and Authentication-Results all contain example@gmail.com.

Why is this information leaked? Is this something I should be concerned about? Finally, and most importantly, how can I send mail from my new address and use Gmail as the mail server without leaking the Gmail address?

Forward an email in the reply to another email through Gmail

I am using Gmail.

I know how to forward an email received from A to B, by simply choosing the forward option for the email to be forwarded, and putting B's address there.

But I wonder how to forward an email received from A to B, within a reply to another email received from B? Or what do people usually do alternatively in such a case?

Odd settings in Gmail

I noticed awhile back in all of my Gmail account settings something odd.

Was curious if anyone else has noticed this before?
