Any way to hide Disqus box from Tumblr ask page only?

I have successfully added Disqus to my Tumblr page quite some time ago, but for consistency I would like to remove the Disqus box from the ask page or all static pages. Is that even possible?

One of my Tumblelogs can be found here for reference.

Pin Disqus Comments?

Is there a way to "pin" or leave a thread at the top of the list? Almost like you see on community forums where important or common threads always stay at the top?

How do I update profile name in DISQUS account?

I have logged in to DISQUS via a Google account for providing comments. I would like to change my profile name, but I can’t. I've changed my name in Google account but it’s not reflecting in DISQUS. I don’t have a DISQUS ID; I use the Google ID.

How do I remove the "Comments" word out of "x Comments" in disqus tumblr themes?

From http://webapps.stackexchange.com/a/18885 and http://pebblecodeblog.disqus.com/admin/tumblr/, I found that you can show disqus comments with

<a class="dsq-comment-count" rel='nofollow' href="{Permalink}#disqus_thread">Comments</a>

which seems to generate "x Comments" where x is the number of comments. Is there a way to get rid of the "Comments" bit, and just have the number?

How can I hide Disqus from websites that I visit?

Often when I visit a webpage, the comments section is many times longer than the actual post. This makes scrolling very cumbersome, as the actual post takes up a very small portion of the scrollbar.

I almost never actually want to read the comments, and there doesn't appear to be a way to "roll-up" the comments section. I can open up the developer console and delete the relevant div, but this is a lot of effort to do repeatedly.

How can I hide Disqus on all websites that I visit?

Disqus - more options while customizing the text of the comment count link?

In several languages (eg. Polish) there are more than three grammatical cases used for number and noun, whereas Disqus support only cases "0", "1" and "more". What's the easiest way to implement correct texts of the comment count link in such languages in Disqus?

In Polish comment

  • for 1 goes komentarz,
  • 2-4 and those where number mod 10 is 2-4 komentarze,
  • 0, 5-21 and those where number mod 10 is 5-9 or 0-1 komentarzy.

How do you remove Disqus "comments" from Tumblr pages?

How do you remove Disqus "comments" link from Tumblr pages?

I've managed to remove the Disqus comment box from all pages, so it only appears after posts. I used the following code:

{block:PermalinkPagination}
...disqus code...
{/block:PermalinkPagination}

But I still have the 'comments' link showing up on the pages. Does anyone know of a way to remove this from pages only?

For example, this is my "about" page:

http://www.kikou.co.uk/about

On the bottom right corner there's a clickable link for comments, I want to remove it, but still have it so the 'comments' link appears after Tumblr posts.

eg. the way it appears here: http://www.kikou.co.uk/

Any ideas guys?

Search text in all Disqus comments on a blog post

Many blogs now use Disqus. While its tree view and lazy loading of comments are in theory a good thing for handling hundreds of comments, the simple fact that it encourages a large number of comments makes it often impossible to read all comments before commenting myself.

However, I don't want to create a new comment-subtree for a point already raised by one or more other commenters and would like to search the comments for keywords. In traditional WordPress comments I can just use a browser's text search for this. Disqus's lazy-loading however makes this impossible.

Is there some way to search Disqus comments after all? A sufficient, maybe even preferred, solution would be a "show all comments for this blog post" function (as opposed to repeating "scroll to end, click 'more comments'" dozens of times) to make browser search useful again.

How can I include & in Disqus comments?

I followed an example on a tutorial to create Spring mybatis example. I got an error following the instructions in the document. However, I have solved my issue on a tutorial I followed to create an application and I want to post how I solved it. It was using &amp; instead of & text which solved the issue for me.

I want the ampersand to be included in the comment section as like, &amp;. But after posting the comments it displays, the & instead of &amp;. I've tried to include it inside the <code></code> block and also tried to wrap it around with the <pre><code></code></pre> block but it doesn't work.

So How can I post the code block comment to display the &amp; string?

How can I use both Disqus and Google+ comments on Blogger?

I have a blog with Blogger. I used Disqus before and there are a lot of comments on that. However now I want to use Google+ comments on Blogger because I use Google+ a lot. But I cannot find a solution to use both on Blogger at the same time.

I found other solutions to use both Blogger default comments and Google+ comments but not Disqus. How can I do that?
