Dynamics CRM Online - how to get rid of 'First Things First' intro screen

Since Dynamics CRM Online was upgrade to the new 2013 version, this 'First Things First' screen pops up pretty constantly:

intro screen

Ticking 'don't show me this again' makes it go away for a bit, but seems to be controlled via cookies, so if you clear your cookies or history the intro screen comes back.

Is there some way to turn this off in CRM Online?

Is there a web app that lets you see all of your friends' social streams from a single interface? [closed]

I am looking for a web app that lets you see all of your friends' social streams from a single interface. Does anyone know of any? Examples of features I'm looking for:

  • Integration with Google Contacts/social sites to generate a friend list
  • See friends' Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, StackExchange, etc. posts in one stream
  • Zoom in on individual contacts to see their social stream over time
  • Can search all contacts' social streams for keywords, links, etc.

Thanks

Gmail based \ Gmail integrated personal CRM [closed]

I'm looking for a Web Application \ Browser add-on that will supply basic CRM capabilities, with good integration with Gmail

Basically the main feature would be to track conversations, but unlike regular Gmail conversations it should allow:

  • group several Gmail threads to a single "meta-conversation"
  • allow adding notes or other information (preferably with structured forms for tasks, phone calls, etc.) to the thread
  • allow editing the notes I added

Way to keep track of people and organizations?

I am looking for a flexible web app that would allow me to keep track of all the local "chapters" of an organization (world wide). A multi-chapter website management software.

Ideally it would function like a CRM (e.g. Highrise, Capsule) but allow each "chapter" to update its own contact information online.

We would need the ability to create custom fields and control who has access to view / edit those fields.

How to disable Yesware in Gmail?

I've recently become aware of a snoopy little Chrome extension called Yesware. Yesware brands itself as an email productivity service for salespeople. It enables those who use it to know when, where, and from what device someone has opened an email.

It does this by embedding an invisible pixel in each email, and notifying the email sender when, where, and how that pixel has been served. Simple enough technology. Simply creepy, maybe.

Nick Tommarello writes on his blog about one way to keep Yesware users from tracking you: disable images. But that's like killing a fly with a bazooka. He also says blocking Yesware can be done with Microsoft Exchange, combining server-side and client-side rules.

There has to be a simpler way to protect my privacy from those who are using Yesware. Any help?

How to know if someone is using Yesware?

I previously asked if it might be possible to prevent people from using Yesware against you. The answer: Yes. Disable images -- especially for people you do not know. I'm not all that satisfied with this answer, as images seem to be an important aspect of the email experience (and even my trusted friends might be using Yesware to keep tabs on me).

So the next best thing: How to know if an emailer is using Yesware?

Is there a Gmail extension or other application that can be used to track the trackers, to know if the Yesware pixel was served? (Kind of like how Snapchat lets you know when someone has screengrabbed one of your snaps.)

And if not, is it conceivable that this extension might be developed?

Do any tools exist to combine template based transactional email with CRM? [closed]

I am between a rock a hard place right now with a decision relating to CRM capabilities and general email marketing for our company. We have simply used very basic (think Gmail contacts, outlook, excel spreadhsheets) customer relationship management tracking to date but have some ambitious sales goals ahead and want to get serious about our methods. We currently use Google Apps for our email provider and I have done some research into most of the big names in the CRM game (that have links with Google Apps Marketplace) and think I have at least narrowed down our choices to the following:

All have their benefits and we aren't quite sure which will choose so far but pricing is certainly a factor as we are a small company. Unfortunately, our sales people can be a bit thick-headed at times and fail to follow instructions. Our goal is this:

  1. Create an HTML formatted email with some basic customizable fields (name, email, small text clip)
  2. Sales person can enter the name of the contact they are trying to reach out to (ideally this is a contact already entered in one of the CRM systems mentioned before) along with the custom message field included in each email.
  3. Once the system recognizes it is a new lead email (doesn't have to be automatic, manual selection is fine), it will pull the HTML email content, populate with the fields entered or selected and send off to the prospect.

I want to make sure the client cannot modify the template content in anyway. I know I could accomplish this by setting up a web-form on any of our existing sites for our agents and allow them to enter the information then send through a transaction email API (we currently use Mandrill but SendGrid/Mailjet/etc would all work) but looking for something with tighter integration with a CRM and something that goes ahead and forces our sales reps to enter the contact in before sending a blank canvas email.

I have looked at something like Yesware but I would prefer the email origination comes from the CRM because it does not look like I can mandate the email used the "new prospect template" from such a tool.

Are there any tools which can accomplish this currently?

What software do dentists, opticians and similar professionals use to keep track of their clients' visits information?

I am interested to know if there is any web based software that can do this.

By "this", I mean software that can keep track of, say, a dentist's patient data from the day the patient first walked in, and all their subsequent visits to date with notes, observations, etc

Cannot find again a certain CRM-like “dynamic FAQ” site

I've once stumbled upon a site I liked very much, but can't recall it's name or find it on Google anymore. It was a kind of a "dynamic FAQ", a bit like a pre-stackoverflow, but focused only on selected applications. And I think it was chosen for some open-source project (and that was how I got there), but neither can I recall which one (I thought that was Songbird, but it doesn't seem so).

What I recall was that it had a bit similar layout to SO (with a question on top and answers below), I think the answers could be voted, and I think there were some kinds of happy/sad faces besides each q/a. Or were these cakes? um... Anyway, I do strongly remember very positive feelings about the site and it's layout (it was quite modern).

Um... does this vague (sorry) description strike something in someone's memory?

I'd generally want to find the site for inspiration and hopefully to use it for some of my own software projects.

Looking for a web service that helps track candidates, resumes, and applications - basically CRM for HR [closed]

Searching for a web service that assists HR and recruiters in tracking contacts/candidates for job opportunities.

This is essentially a CRM tool that is customized/specialized for the activities that a recruiter or HR worker would require.

Bonus points if it works across different organizations (ideal for a recruiter working for many companies, rather than the HR dept of a specific company)

Zoho Recruit appears to be a possibility, however I'm looking for other options to compare as well.

Encrypt selected data only in Google Contacts?

Is there a way to have let's say an online CRM platform sync its contact details in realtime with Google Contacts, but hide the contact's phone numbers or encrypt them for certain users of the CRM based on their role/permissions, but while still allowing them to add new contacts with their phone numbers?

Mailbox can't synchronize appointment, contact, and tasks

I've got a mailbox in Dynamics CRM which is throwing the error "Mailbox can't synchronize appointments, contact, and tasks. Another Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization is configured to the same Exchange email address specified in this mailbox."

But there isn't another CRM organization! Any ideas as to what's causing it and how to resolve?

The only thing I can think of is that we upgraded the O365 account to an E3 license. Could that cause it thinking it was linked to another organisation?

How do I add a new contact to Highrise via email?

Sometimes I get partnership offers from people but I'm not ready to work with them yet.

I'd like to have an easy way to add them to Highrise (the 37 signals app) and tag them.

Can I do that?
