How to re-open closed tab?

I just upgraded to Firefox 4 and can't seem to find a feature I used quite often:

If I accidentally close a tab, I could right-click and select an option to reopen the closed tab.

Where is this feature in Firefox 4?

Where does Firefox store the opened windows/tabs/URLs for session restore after a crash?

In which location and file does Firefox save the last windows I had opened (when Firefox crashed)?

I have a complete "hot dump" copy of a file system and need to restore the state Firefox was when the system crashed, but I cannot restore the full backup itself. I can only extract the files of Firefox, but I do not know in which files I have to search for the URLs that were last opened when the snapshot of the whole file system was done.

Disable ability to pull a tab off of Chrome

I'm so sick of mistakenly pulling my Chrome tabs out of the tab list when i click on it, and having it open in a new window. I'm always pulling them off, then having to drop them back.

Does anyone know of a way to disable this 'feature' of Chrome?

How to open stubborn javascript links in a new tab or new window?

Some websites use "creative" (javascript?) hyperlinks which break browser functionality, such as the ability to ctrl+click or middle click links to open them in a new tab.

A common example, taleo HR websites http://www.rogers.com/web/Careers.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=C_CP&_page=9

No matter what I try, I can only follow links by clicking on them normally; I can't open them in a new window. Is there any way around this?

How to disable the close (X) button on Google Chrome tabs?

Is there any way to make Chrome not display an X button for each tab?

I have two reasons for this:

  1. When I have many tabs open, the X buttons take a lot of screen real estate and make the tab titles shorter.
  2. Sometimes I try to move to a different tab and accidentally close it because I push the X button by mistake. (Again, dense tabs.)

Since I almost always use Ctrl + w to close tabs, I don't really need the close button.

Is there any way to make it go away?

Is there a method to export the URLs of the open tabs of a Firefox window?

If I have a Firefox window open that contains 10 tabs, is there a way in Firefox or by a plug-in to get the URLs of those 10 tabs as a text file or some other format?

Right now if I want to do this I need to copy the URL of tab A, paste it somewhere, move to tab B, and repeat. I could also bookmark all the tabs into a folder and export that, but that seems like such a hassle.

If there is no such method, could someone point me to some documents that describe the basics of writing a Firefox plug-in. I am willing to write this myself if there is no "standard" way.

How to Make Chrome Not Load Tabs Until They are Selected?

I have over 20 tabs opened in Chrome and need to restart browser from time to time. This browser does not have option similar to Firefox's "Do not load tabs until selected" loading tabs only after selecting them. I have tried a few Chrome extensions but none do what I am looking for.

Is it possible to open several web pages when browser is started?

I am searching for browser option or plugin (it will be best if it is available in Web Kit browsers,Opera or Firefox - not IE) that allows me to open several web pages when it is initially started.

For example, let's say that I have some file with settings in which I have pointed the following websites:

  1. Google +
  2. gmail
  3. StackOverflow.com
  4. SuperUser.com
  5. dba.stackexchange.com
  6. linkedin etc...

and when I firstly started the Chrome browser, all this sites will be opened in new tabs and because the browser has saved my passwords I will be logged in.

I will find this very helpful because:

  1. It will saves me time

  2. I will not miss anything when I turn on my computer (for example to forget to check my mail)

IE8 - how to reopen tabs in all windows after a restart?

In Firefox, if I have multiple windows open with several tabs each, all will be reopened when I restart FF.

In IE8. If I restart and click "Reopen last browsing session", IE reopens tabs from only one of the windows. Is there a way to make it reopen tabs from all windows?

Open previously opened tab in Chrome

I do know that we can use Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab for opening next and previous tabs and also Ctrl+N for opening the Nth tab...

But what I am looking for is opening the previously opened tab (Qview in a remote).

Assume that I have 8 tabs open in a window, and I was previously on tab-3. Now I am on tab-7.

Now I need a key-combination that will take me back to tab-3. And once I move to tab-3 hitting the same key combination should bring me back to tab-7.

Can Vivaldi open tabs in the background?

When using the Vivaldi browser (version 1.2), it is possible to right-click on a link in a web page and select Open In New Tab. This, of course, is common to most browsers nowadays.

Other browsers have a user setting whereby the browser will remain on the source page, leaving the newly opened page to render in a background tab. I find this useful if I want to open a couple of links on a page while continuing to read it.
Vivaldi always changes focus to the newly opened tab.

Vivaldi has no explicit setting to stay on the source page. Neither can I find anything on Vivaldi Tips.

Is there a way, possibly a registry tweak, that will make Vivaldi stay on the page and make a newly opened tab render in the background?
It seems odd that a browser with so many customisation options can't do this.
