This link shows how to clear Chrome's chach in a LIFO way (clear everything newer than X) but I want to clear it in the other direction, LRU or FIFO (clear everything older than X). Can this be done? If so, how?

i browse to a page, and click a link. When i click Back, i need the browser to always re-fetch the page from the web-site.

i've tried disabling the browser cache by going into:

• Tools
• Internet Options
• Under Browsing History, click Settings

• Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, select Every time I visit the webpage

  

Except that doesn't cause Internet Explorer 9 (32-bit (Windows 7 (64-bit( Professional)))) to reload the page when clicking the Back button.

The standard way (hamburger icon>Tools>Clear browsing data>Confirm) is slow, especially when you have to clear frequently during development. Currently, I hit F12 to bring up the Console, go to the network tab, and right click Clear cache, right click Clear cookies.

I have also tried extensions such as Cache Killer, but haven't found one I love.

Is there a faster way? One click for example?

Firefox says "server not found" because it's adding WWW. How do I stop this?

This is very frustrating.

I have been accessing servername.local on Firefox. That's its URL. No www.

At some time, servername.local ceased to be available and I got an error message: "Server not found". Fair enough.

However, Firefox didn't just try servername.local, it tried www.servername.local as well. "Server not found" again.

The problem is, now that servername.local is back up and running (I can get to it with other browsers and by IP address), Firefox always tries for www.servername.local, no matter if I type in the correct non-WWW URL or use a bookmark.

I cleared the cache, I cleared the history. No change. I flushed the DNS cache, that didn't help either.

Any suggestions?

In this folder I found the png thumbnail of visited youtube page

But, there is no video file.
I also searched all files and folders arround (Default user, All users...etc).
There is only one win user.

How can I force Safari to perform a full page reload, without using the mouse?

I'm using Safari to preview web pages as I develop them on my local server. I've got 'Disable Caches' checked in the Develop menu. And yet Safari is still working from a cached version of a stylesheet that's linked from the HTML file being displayed.

I can sometimes override this by Option-clicking the reload button in the location bar, but I want to refresh the page automatically when I save the CSS file. At the moment I'm doing it using an AppleScript that's bound to the Save action in my text editor. I could see using Keyboard Maestro instead. But I need some consistent way to force Safari to do a full reload from the keyboard.

I often find myself in the situation where I know I saw something in a web page recently, but don't remember where. I would therefore like to be able to do a full-text search of the contents of my web history in Firefox. Is there an extension that will do this?

I am aware of this question. However, I am only interested in Firefox solutions, and the only Firefox option in that question seems to no longer be relevant (add-on has changed).

My requirements for a solution to this problem:

• Must work in Firefox.
• Must work locally - I do not want to send my history or bookmarks to a 3rd-party service to get this functionality (so InfoAxe is out as near as I can tell).
• Must be a high-quality, reputable extension (fuzzy, I know, but many extensions smell sketchy).
• Must work in Linux (so Google Desktop is out so far as I know).
• Strongly prefer open source solution.

Does anyone know of such an extension?

Google Chrome - Clear Cache for Specific Website

I recently created a free web hosting account on x10Hosting. Let's use www.example.x10host.com as my example domain. Before signing up for the domain, I visit the domain to see if it was available. When I saw that it was, I registered it, and immediately went to go look at it on Google Chrome. I still got the "Domain Available" message, so I tried again in 10 minutes, and still got the still got the message. I tried later in Firefox and got it as well. The next day, I tried it in Internet Explorer, and it worked. I am assuming that I now have an outdated cache of the page stored for both Chrome and Firefox. How can I clear just the cache for that specific page so that it will load normally?

How to turn off the Firefox cache?

I'm using Firefox 3.5.2. For some reason, it has cached a page and won't update. For example, I added an alert('test'); statement to some JavaScript code which is loaded on the page, but Firefox doesn't see it. When I do a view source, I still see the old code.

So I'm guessing this is a cache issue. How can I fix it, or can I make Firefox never cache anything from http://localhost?

Clear 301-redirect cache in Firefox

Is it possible to clear only 301-redirects from Firefox's cache? CTRL+F5 doesn't do the job since you just reload the target without caching but do not clear the cached redirect.

An option to disable caching of those redirects completely would be fine, too - but some way (possibly through an extension) to remove those cached redirects would be better.

Make Firefox cache a webpage so that I can view it without a reload after a restart

I want Firefox to be able to cache webpages such that I can read the pages later after a restart. I've tried setting the cache size to 350MB but it still doesn't work as intended. Opera seems to do it without a single tweak. It can display an SO question even after closing and restarting it while Firefox demands a reload.

How do I make Firefox behave like Opera in this scenario? I'd hate to switch to Opera since it has a tendency to crash when I open many tabs, plus Firefox's addons are to die for.

Unable to find videos cache for youtube videos in chrome

I have watched a video on youtube, I didn't close the browser window and it is buffered. I can watch that video anytime, without connecting to internet, as it is completely buffered. But I am not able to find the local cache for it, I checked the default folder of cache for my browser(chrome), which is: %AppData% Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache, but videos is not there. However it must be there somewhere in my local system as I am able to watch it again and again without connecting to internet. I used to get those previously, but something happen either it is saving in some other folder or what. does anyone has any idea?

Is it possible to disable the cache in Firefox on a per-domain basis?

I'm finding that when deploying changes to a web server running on my local machine, even Ctrl+F5 doesn't always get an un-cached copy of the page. I'd really like to be able to turn off caching for that particular domain (essentially my local host), but can't find an option to do that.

Anyone have any ideas?
