Is there a way to bookmark all tabs in Chrome?

Is there a way to bookmark all tabs in Chrome?

I seem to remember this being out of the box in Firefox and I'd love to get the same functionality in Chrome. Perhaps it's an issue because each tab is a separate process?

From Word to PDF including bookmarks

I created a Microsoft Word file with Office 2007 and exported it via Jaws PDF Creator. Now I want some bookmarks or any kind of "linking-action" that makes it easier to navigate through the document. My PDF viewer doesn't allow to create bookmarks in the free version, so I guess I need to handle this via Word! Maybe using a table of content? Anything that is recognized as PDF.

Edit: I realised it with using a table of content. It works fine, but that wasn't the solution I have been looking for. I like to have some bookmarks but my PDF creator doesn't take over the one I created in Word. I need to figure out how this could work.

Do browsers change URLs of saved bookmarks in response to 301 redirection?

HTTP status code 301 is used to indicate that content has moved permanently, and that the returned URL should be used to access the requested content in future.

RFC 2616 says

Clients with link editing capabilities ought to automatically re-link references to the request-URI to one or more of the new references returned by the server, where possible.

Do any browsers actually implement this and change a bookmark's URL?

Is there a way to hide single bookmarks or bookmark folders in Google Chrome (or Chromium)?

In Opera I can choose to hide bookmarks and bookmark folders from the bookmark bar, is this also possible with Google Chrome or Chromium?

As a workaround I put all the bookmarks I don't want to see in a separate folder within a folder that's on the bookmark bar.

The "Other Bookmarks" folder is not what I'm looking for.

How do I increase the available bookmark folder limits in chrome

As another user asked about firefox: Increase limit of bookmark folders in Firefox?

I would like to increase the number of folders that you are presented with when you press the add bookmark star in Chrome. As it is now, you get a choice from the last five used folders, "bookmark bar", "other bookmarks" or choose another folder. The last five folders are listed in a last in last out progression, so if you happen to bookmark five different pages to five different folders the sixth folder chosen would move the first one out.

It would also be a nice option if along with increasing the number of presented folders, to pin chosen folders to always appear in the pulldown selection, regardless if I have used it recently or not, so if I find that I have bookmarked 10 different pages to their respective folders, that "my" most used folders are always quickly available.

A different solution would be to allow the creation of a(nother) special folder called "pinned favorites" that would be displayed along with "bookmarks bar" and "other bookmarks" that contain the folder selection that you choose to not be a part of the sequential deletion of the five "most recently used" folders. This folder would display the pinned folder selection once "pinned folders" was selected as a pulldown similar to the choose another folder option.

How to save a bookmark in Firefox with POST data?

I would like to save as a Firefox bookmark a page which is not accessible using GET. The only way to retrieve the page is to send some POST data.

For example, I would like to bookmark a Chronopost parcel tracking page, which only allows POST for entering parcel numbers.

Does anyone know a Firefox extension, or some other technique, which would allow me to do this?

How to hide the bookmark bar?

I would like to completely disable the bookmark bar from Google Chrome and I don't find any information on the web.

If I disable the bookmark bar, it still appears in an embedded bar to the Google search page. enter image description here

If I right click and select "Show bookmark bar" I see this: enter image description here

Of course If I go to the bookmark manager and delete all the useless bookmarks I will still see the bar:

How can I just disable it?

Chrome Bookmarks to default in new Tab?

Is there a way to get my bookmarks (wired to my bookmarks bar) to open them (by default) into a new tab?

It seems to me that this would be a terrific option to build in. I am all about reducing mouse clicks and speed.

  • I know that I can hit the + tab and then select my bookmark - but this is 2 mouse clicks.
  • I know also that I can right mouse click the bookmark link and select "open in new tab" - but once again 2 steps.

Also since the default is to replace the current tab window, this is not intuitive and generally annoying. I find myself always going "back", reloading the current page (that I didn't want to leave) and then re-selecting the bookmark button with the right mouse button and selecting "open in new tab".

Using Chrome Portable Beta (7.0.517.36).
